My favorite is Creme Brulee Decorer, and I've always wondered why the hell they would have a kind called "Men's Pocky".

I had a friend awhile back who loved these and thried to convince me they were the best thing ever. They're an easy snack for complusive eating, but I do not find them very satisfying. They just don't live up to the hype. Like rabbit90 said, they're very artificial tasting. The chocolate tastes like rubber, the strawberry tastes like Strawberry Quik mix (yuck), the coconut tastes like bland oatmeal, etc. etc. And the biscuit part is always stale. If you like highly processed, mediorce-tasting junk food, they're prefect.
We didn't "nick" them from the Japanese. The Japanese have been heavily marketing them to foreign markets. Despite the "cool" Japanophile aura they have, it's really how they've been marketed here, and that people think it's a Japanophile thing shows how well they've been suckered by a very elementary marketing ploy. One shouldn't confuse mass consumerism with cultural appreciation. A person's no more a Japanophile for eating Pocky than he or she is an Americophile for eating Doritos.
Do you have a Suncoast video store? Most of the Suncoasts in my area sell Pocky and various other Asian snacks in the anime section of the store.
Pocky's pretty good, but it's too expensive for what you're getting. I can usually eat an entire box in, like, five or ten minutes. I'd really rather spend my money on snacks that'd last me a little longer, like Handi Snacks or Dunk-A-Roos.
