Some do, I was pleased to see. It's the honor system but anything more strict would still be easily circumvented.

Here's my candid opinion.

The member you're talking about is an obvious troll so I think this is not a good example. I saw his posts that were removed and there is zero doubt in my mind that he was just out to have a laugh and shock people. I think that real teens are smarter than you're giving them credit for, wsmac. They don't use offensive terms when they have a legitimate question they want answered. Our teen members seem very comfortable posting about their problems and asking for advice here, so I'm just not seeing a problem.

Regarding sexuality, curious teens can (and will) use google or other methods to get their information. This site was never intended to be a sex ed. resource. Even the Adult Asperger Issues forum is supposed to be -only- about sexual issues directly impacted by AS (not for the random sexual stuff that often winds up there). Beyond that, I think it's really not appropriate for us to be condoning the idea of having an area of the site where teens talk explicitly and are joined by adults in those sexual discussions. First off, the line between friendliness and predation in that situation can be blurry. This site is already routinely targeted by sickos seeking to prey on a vulnerable population. Secondly, we simply have no business setting aside a formal area for educating other people's children about sexuality without their parents' permission.

Well it is obvious based upon my experiences while reading forum, HE really was a troll but I do tease him even those he looking food to devour. You know what they say? Don't feed the troll.

Then again, the internet is full of sources that people could get this information from...so I don't think there is a need to have a forum here for it specifically.
[p.s...I am a teen myself]

I keep advocating for Wrong Planet to be a place for Aspies, Add'ers, Parents, Family and Friends of these people to be able to talk about personal issues... as persons on the spectrum... and not have to go somewhere else where those people may not be so accepting of the way we all interact.

If Wrong Planet is here only for the discussion of issues directly related to Asperger's, Autism, and ADD/HD, then there are a whole lot of threads that do not belong here.

I agree with you 100%. And unfortunately, there are people who actually think they are providing a service to kids by giving them certain information or "coaching" totally against the religious and cultural values that their parents are trying to instill in them.
