How awesome:) I love them!!

I could not live in one with anyone else, but surely it would be fantastic if I were all alone!!

Have I mentioned I love them??! !

My daughter on the other hand, she is a hideaway in the closet kinda gal in our 1200sq.ft.space and her #1 request on her letter to santa was a "hideaway space" (and she got it, under her loft bed!!)....

hmm...now if only we could find a plot of land and have a free for all tiny house community!!

I say we grow our own culture!

I like these tiny houses! I came accross that link some time ago. I would love to build something like that on my property, like a guest house.

oh? never seen or heard of it!

and while I would never claim to "know" the downtown core, I can't even picture a place where they would be able to build up that area...

are you in the city?

I called T.O. home back in the late 70s and early 80s. I started off in the Queen/Spadina district, but even in those days the developers were gutting the old apartment blocks to the bare bricks, and turning them into expensive condos. Much too pricey for this student's budget! I shudder to think what the rents are like there now.... :o

I'd love a well planned, tiny house. Soo cosy and managable.

Oh, if life was as simple as living as a hermit in a small house in the woods.

I'd like a concrete, slightly bigger version of that house, with a conservatory overlooking a river, a big enough kitchen, a study with a computer, and an external workshop-garage.

You're forgetting to use realtor's dialect. The word is "cozy". :)

yeah...sadly I know this reality!! ! I want so badly to be in the area you lived in, but instead I am along the Lakeshore....my rent is $1300 and when comparing rental costs, the same space I have now would cost more than $2200 downtown!! !! !!

One can dream....*sigh*

"That was easy" home topic

I live just north of Toronto and I have seen the tiny Bathurst home, but not recently. It was up for sale at one point not long ago, apparently, for less than two hundred thousand dollars. It is not the smallest house on earth, but perhaps the smallest old house in Canada? Very cute.

I must admit I like tiny houses, but I like to live in a trailer. This is not to everybody's liking. I cannot design homes so I need something cheap, small and prebuilt. A trailer fits the bill. I hope everone who would like a tiny house is eventually able to get one. I am also looking forward to seeing Nutbag's pics.

Yeah, a house can be that size. Anyway, what I grew up in was definatly a house that my parents built. Not from a trailor or anything. It's 21 by 21. I don't think anyone would like it either, because it's run down, still incomplete, and has alot of spider/bug issues. I bet it would be alot cuter if it was fixed up completly for a change, but what are poor folks going to do. All of us thank God we didn't pay rent.
