I say in complete honesty that I've worn one of these on the collar of my Indiana Jones leather jacket for years.

The particular one I have is not available to the general public; dark blue on a black background. Let's just say that my particular function within the Organization is to make problems dissapear. And I'm good at it.

Good fortune,

The Illuminati disbanded in the 1700s.
The Bilderberg Group is a networking group, nothing more.
Bohemian Grove is a frat for old rich guys.

Nothing to see here, move along.

Possibly. Conspiracy theories are fun. I'd say my college is a conspiracy theory.

A few points:

Regarding the 'proof' of this conspiracy theory in that supposedly the House of Bush and Queen Elizabeth are both descended from Charlemagne, assuming it's true (I have no idea what the evidence for this is supposed to be), consider the following: The number of total ancestors you have, going back n generations, is 2^n - 2 (look up 'geometric series'), except for cases of interbreeding. This number rises very fast, so if you set n to take you back all the way to the early Middle Ages, that's going to be quite a lot of ancestors, so finding monarchs among them is to be expected on statistical grounds - especially considering that kings were likely to have many children and at least those of noble mothers had a disproportionate chance of surviving infancy and having children of their own. A huge chunk, very probably a majority of the white populations is going to be descended from at least one European monarch; given that the Queen is descended from a lot of them, and that Bush is white, it is unremarkable that they have a monarch as a common ancestor. Sure, there are a lot of dynasties and influential families out there, from the Bhuttos of Pakistan to the Bushes and Clintons in the US, but that doesn't mean all the families act together or that family ties are any guarantee of loyalty (for example, blood ties did not prevent the Kaiser from waging war against his cousins on the Russian and British thrones - and European royals, who were all essentially a single family, waged war and intrigued against one another all the time).

Reagrding Skull and Bones, etc: the whole point of this type of society is to seem mysterious and difficult to join, so that people will want to join for the ego trip. Yeah, there are lots of old boys' networks, lots of influential people giving cushy jobs to their pals, etc - but that's hardly proof of a single club running the entire world. Cliques often have clashing interests with other cliques.

And, of course, regarding the theory that the world is run by shape-changing reptilian humanoids - som things are beneath all comment or criticism.

CFR, Bildenburgs, Trilaterials... These are some of your "secret societies" today, and no it's not a conspiracy. All you got to do is look at the people that attend these meetings then it becomes very clear. It's mainly the international bankers (that have no sides), top politicians, acadamics, major media talk heads, and the big protestant churchs leaders that control our government. Not just in the US, but all over the world. Most of them are all on the same team. If you ever wonder why all the media talk heads will talk about this left/right crap, the will keep you focused on wedge issues, while they are excelling their agenda (what you don't hear on in the MSM) using your tax money through inflation and taxes to create a one world government, because they're all on the same page.

Come on, academics have almost zero real influence (they don't control vast amounts of wealth, they have no army, they're not usually famous and they don't usually have much of a political machine). Bankers, etc, have some common interests, but they're also competitors - since markets, etc are finite it is ultimately in their interest to bankrupt their rivals. Do you really think that Vladimir Putin and the Western oil & gas companies are on the same page? Or Microsoft and Apple? Carlos Slim and AT&T? China and Western patent holders? Boeing and Airbus? Vietnamese and Colombian coffee growers?
Sure, the US media is sycophantic and spineless, wedge issues are mostly red herrings, there's plenty of behind-the-scenes lobbying, and there aren't many genuine democracies out there (probably just one, a small Alpine country divided by both language and religion) and there is often little real difference between viable candidates (yeah, some would make better dinner guests than others) - but that is not equivalent to a single, unified clique running everything - just a bunch of corrupt cliques that sometimes strike marriages of convenience, sometimes clash, sometimes have infighting (so what else is new?).
What would that world government consist of? The UN, which is about as powerful as East Timor? G-7 (increasingly irrelevant as it doesn't include India or China)?

I wouldn't worry about conspiracy theories.

If you discover the truth, you're dead anyway, so why bother? ;)
