I can think of some situations in which I would care about straps also.
For example, in the event that I am in a terrible car accident and I must be carted away in an ambulance, I would like some straps on the stretcher so that I don't fall off on the pavement. That would be awful.
In other news, I am looking for an excuse to post this:
