Can anyone tell me how to switch to HTML?

Voiceover works really well for me in Safari when reading my messages and the posts on the forums.

Voiceover does not work well for me at all when I switch to Opera, which is another browser.

I may try Firefox also.

About your windows word processor, my daughter uses OpenOffice and I use NeoOffice.
These two programs are open-source and free and we can create documents that are read by windows computers.
I can send you links for both of them if you are interested.

Here's my settings in voiceover,
Verbosity/ punctuation some/ repeated punctuation always spoken/ when text attributes change speak attributes/ while typing speak every character/ speak text under mouse after delay short/ checkboxes/ announce when mouse cursor enters a window/ announce when the caps lock key is pressed

All the other settings such as Navigation/ Voices/ Display/ Pronounciation are the default settings.

Are there any other settings somewhere else?

Hey Mark, I'm Amanda. My middle name is Kate, and the Shroud is one of darkness. It was an idea for a DND/comic book character. Don't bother trying to use firefox with voiceover, because my brother has already demonstrated it doesn't work. I am however interested in the links to those open source word processors. All of the settings you're using in voiceover seem to have no bearing on the problem with my messages, so what buttons or commands are you using on WP to get voiceover to read the messages out loud? Mine always tells me it's an image. Strange. Well, I'll talk to you sometime tomorrow.

One hour from California to El Paso, Texas, and then around Van Horn we get another hour added on.

Anyway, I'll check my WP settings too.

I am on a macbook so I use my trackpad to move the cursor. Did you ask about that? LOL , I'm tired.

That's all right, I'm about to hit the sack myself. I guess I should've figured you'd use the track pad, while I'm stuck using key strokes. I figure you go to messages, then what else? I'll hear you tomorrow

Kate, I am not forgetting this, I have been busy with school, work and now a family emergency in another state.
I will try to work a little more on this to understand it better.

In the meantime, I might check out that plugin computerlove mentioned.
