Do you ever consider suicide?

I don't, anymore. I used to think about it, a lot.

Seriously? Nah. And I sincerely hope the thoughts of killing myself never come again.

I really don't ever think about suicide. There are times in my life where I can be fairly depressed but not to the point where I want to end it all.

For me, my depression blanks all of that reason and I have to fight my butt off not to kill myself.

Every day.
So far, I've decided against it.
(Well DUH, Captain Obvious...)

I have had those kinds of thoughts frequently.

I banish them frequently, too, because I would hate to upset my mother (having seen her in floods of tears after my first serious self-harm attempt).

That, and there are still action figures out there that I must claim for my own...

I could never consider suicide at this point in time. I understand some may feel they have reason too, but I'd feel too selfish to consider it. Just because it would affect the people I care about in a rather negative manner.

And then there's also just so much I haven't done yet that could be fun...
Attempting a full game of DDR upside down with hands on the mat, meeting more of the more interesting people out there and well just doing the stuff I haven't done yet because I either never thought of it before or just lacked the finances...

I believe there's something out there to keep everyone content. They just gotta find it.

I consider that stuff like once a week.

Got used to it, right now my best reason to live is that I didn't took suicide the first time I thought of it and therefore doing so now would mean I have wasted a lot of time since then.

Every second and every breath.

It's a life-death relationship, I think....

I used to think about it.. but not 'consider it' before I learned about AS. After that, not a single time. I know WHY im socially screwed and knowing its not a conscious fault was a huge morale boost for me.

but i'd never use it. i think my mind just uses that a kind of f****d up default for a bad day.

No, I've never considered suicide, my default is running away to guitar school.

I sure does. I have always been curious about death. What is it like to die? What comes after? But there is only one way to find out isn't there? I have thought about it, but it was out of curiousity not depression. I figured that I will die soon enough though, and in the meantime there are plenty of other mysteries to direct my curiousity at.

Ah, so the undiagnosed guru of Aspergia is back to lecture us all on what is, and what is not, autistic!

You know, I was just corresponding with someone a minute ago, and commenting on how suicide is a fairly regular occurence on these message boards. It doesn't surprise me, considering that many with AS are excluded from forming relationships and earning a living.

Oh, but I forgot, that doesn't apply to you, so it can't possibly be true!

We're all now hanging on your every word, awaiting the sentence that contains your next paradigm-shifting proclamation...

The main thing that has stopped me from commting suicide is that it could leave me paralysed for life. Not just that, but I know for 100% that the Britsh government would prefer that I ended up being paralysed for life than dying from suicide.

Even if I try to kill myself, some paramedics will come and save me, even if that means I end up disabled.

I wish euthanasia was legal.

I used to think about it earlier, when my depression and anxiety were more severe. It would be very easy to cut my wrists and bleed to death in 10 minutes, but for some reason I never attempted it. I guess I sub-consciously knew that my life would be better eventually...
