Simon Says and Pure.

Simon Says is about a boy who admired this author, then he meet him at his new school and created a complaitcated relationship, ending with the author's suicide.

Pure is about this girl from the future who was created by genetic engeering, and was rejected by society because of it.

The last book I read was Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I know this is sacrilege, but I hated the (alleged) climax. A bit corny, in my opinion.

I read the latter, it was very good.

My most recent book was A Mathematician's Apology, by G.H. Hardy. Very short, but also very beautiful.

The very last book I read was "The Brotherhood of the Rose" by David Morrel.
The two best books I have read in the last two years were "Krakatoa : The day the Earth exploded" and " A crack in the edge of the world" both by Simon Winchester.
The last book was actually listened to on my CD player in my truck going back and forth to work.
That is a good way to enjoy a book if you don't have time to read the story.

"Poczwarki Wielkiej Parady" - this title is translated as "The chrysalises of Great Parade". This is a book written in 1935 as a diary of a teen, Ala (not a real girl but a fictional character) who describes her adventures in a boarding-school. Said Great Parade is their head-master and "chrysalises" are girls themselves - Ala and her friends - who are turning into beautiful colorful butterflies - young ladies old enough to enter the world of adults.

I'm trying to read all of the Discworld books by Terry Pratchett. And I read two at a time, one on breaks at work(I usually finish these the fastest) and one at home.

The last two I read were The Color of Magic and Mort. The two books I'm currently reading are Pyramids and The Light Fantastic.

The Light Fantastic was the first book of Pratchett I ever read. It was about 10 years ago.

The Catcher in the Rye.
Now I am working on The Guns of August.
(On good days I give some time to The Critique of Pure Reason.)

I just finished "Children of God" by Mary Doria Russell. Interesting book, great autistic character. I'm dying for something new to read now, but my town's library is pathetic.
