I have an obscenely huge collection of stuffed animals, some of them dating back to my early childhood.

My first was a little fuzzy hedgehog named Baby Hedgie.

In the past, I would always go for the realistic versions of real creatures (leosco, anna club...). More recently, I have begun collecting more unusual things; I have a Headcrab and Vortigaunt from Half-life 2, an Alien 3 Alien Queen Chestburster and a Hydra that I found at Forbidden Planet.

I have a fuzzy hedgehog!! !! it was my second. his name is woo woo. and my fist was a stuffed cow named Ellie cow

Stuff and funsense topic

I had a couple stuffed animals as a kid and my NT children have had their beds covered in them. I had a teen fashion doll when i was young and I collected a lot of clothes for her. It was a collecting thing. My big things are/were keys and locks. I guess if I find a stuffed key and lock I will have the best of both worlds.

Thanks for the topic, Cockneyrebel :D

I had nearly 80 stuffed toys when I was a kid. And my favorite used to be the Sesame Street characters. Recently I gave them all to my new born nephew. I feel so delighted when I see Paul playing with them.

Was it wrong that, when I first saw the title of this thread, I automatically thought of taxidermy?

For those of you who aren't into cuddly toys, I thought you'd appreciate this picture. But, cool as taxidermy might be, what would you actually do with all those stuffed animals? Use them as a doorwedge?

No, the guy in the picture isn't me.

I have a stuffed macaw that I sleep with. I've had him for around 15 years or more! Its easier to sleep when I have it with me.

I have so many stuffed animals back at the house where I grew up. I love them. I like falling asleep hugging them when I visit. They are mostly doggies and wolfies.

My dog likes them a little less than I do:

I never took to stuffed animals, even as a young child. Largely because I was not much into cuddly toys. I usually avoided cuddling and did not particlarly like being cuddled myself

 Me and my sister had variety of stuffed critters, from bears to mice. Not a huge amount of them, though. Two of the bears we had looked the same, except one was normal size and the other was very small. Mother bears have two cubs, so we both instantaniously decided they were two male bears. :) We still have them all I think, and more.

One way we played was with singing. I think my parents thought it was amusing. We sometimes did little musicals with our toys. This one was the 'baby bubba bear" song which was accompanied by the music box in one other bear. Strange how some kids can just right out sing the same lyrics without talking about it before hand. I can't remember how it went.
