How often are you sick?

I tend to have a small flu at all times. Currently I've been having a fever for nearly a week, little over 40C at 'best'.

Often slightly sick, rarely anything bigger.

Quite often. I got the influenza last month, and I'm still recovering .....

Very rarely. I only missed one day of work last year due to sickness. I've always had a robust immune system.

I do get sick quite a lot.

How often do I get sick ?
Well, depends on how one defines that.
Frequently feel nauseated but never throw up. Often have headaches, but they go away in a day or two.
Serious illness, though-I rarely get sick, thank goodness. No colds yet, this year/season.

Hardly ever leave the house, which means that I'm less exposed to other people's germs (since I live alone), but of course that also means my immune system has less opportunity to be strengthened by exposure to variety of germs.
As a kid, I got strep throat year after year-but that stopped happening once I was out of my teenage years.
May have all sorts of health problems-but since I can't stand being examined by dr. then I won't know this (about any invisible health dangers taking over my body) until I drop dead, I suppose. Can walk, talk, eat, breathe without much problem-therefore am "well" enough to not be considered physically "sick". Would guess that my immune system is doing surprisingly well, given that I don't eat nutritious food nor do I exercise.

I don't get that sick too often. Last time I didn't feel well was last August. And last time I had a fever was two Januarys ago. However, my little cousins are constantly sick! They've been like that their whole lives while I've never really had too much of a problem (except when I was a little kid in daycare).

Every once in a while...

24/7 I'm a sick puppy. If people know what went on in my head I'd be on death row even tho I didn't do anything yet!



Nah, JK. I get one cold a year. From when I was 3 to when I was 18 I had a horrible phlegm and snot problem, though. It was a phlegm problem until I was about 9 or 10 and then it became more of a snot problem. I've had countless embarrassing moments from it, one of them involving the lack of kleenex or access to a bathroom during an exam in a brightly-lit classroom full of people. Luckily it was a math exam so I had some scrap paper. A lot of it got on my hands, my clothes, my exam booklet and the underside of the desk, though. I rubbed it in so that nobody would notice it for the rest of the day; there was really no way to wash my clothes at school or my hands during an exam or the underside of my desk or my test paper.

I rarely get anything serious, my body goes through phases of decent health but I often get mild colds which causes nasal discomfort (making worse the nose-picking habit I'm trying to break). Currently, I have a perpetual headache that's been varying in intensity for the last two-three weeks.

I kind of wish I would get something that causes a fever. The last time I had one, it was actually kind of nice, even though my head hurt like crazy and my body was aching all over. I felt alive, even.

Very rarely, because I make it a point to wash my hands at least twice when I'm at work.

I can count on my hands the total times I've ever been sick my entire life. So now, I don't really get sick that often.

I get the stomach flu once every few years, for a day or two at most. I have sinus issues a lot of the time, but I think it's allergies of some sort. I get a slight cough about once every couple of years.

I guess I have a pretty good immune system.

I get mild colds about once a year, usually for a week or so in the fall. I've also had a some painful ear infections over the past few years. Other than that I'm fairly healthy.

When I was a kid I used to get these horrible stomach viruses where I would vomit continually for up to 24 hours straight. I had a such a weak stomach back then. Ugh. Thank god I outgrew that.

Rarely. ~2 times a year I'll get a bit of a cold, but it's not a big deal, just a minor inconvenience. Pretty good, considering how much I'm in and out of hospitals and around kids with REALLY poor hand hygiene.

Wash your hands! I have to be extra careful because when I stim, it tends to be hand-oral oriented.

If having a headache were to constitute as being sick then I'm sick almost every day. [/rant]

I don't get sick, but I do have terrible gagging attacks. I would rather have a cold than have those gagging fits for no reason.
