You don't have to tell them that. But seriously, the very nature of how the job is obtained, ensures mediocrity. Our place is elsewhere. I find it dismal to hear the chief executive mispronounce the word nuclear. The phrases breeder reactor, high temperature gas reactor, sulfur-iodine process, etc. are absent from discourse. Consider how many hundreds of times over the money blown up in Iraq could have financed our participation in ITER. That's just for starters.
