For those of us that have lived in native-English speaking nations for our entire lives, you have no excuse for not spelling properly. (The only one I can think of is if you're typing too fast to really see your mistakes.) Also, for those of you who just aren't good at spelling, ever hear of a little thing called spell check on MS Word?

I have perfect spelling - when writing in longhand. I 'usually' spell correctly, but every now and then I'll get a typo. I work for a newspaper, so it's of utmost importance to avoid errors in spelling, so that's when I use a spellchecker. This is a bulletin-board forum, so spelling isn't as vitally important here. The posts here aren't being preserved for posterity or anything, so why bother spellchecking your post in Word? If it was that important, why isn't a spellchecker included in the posting-window screen? Now I don't like seeing misspelled words, either, but I usually confine that sort of criticism to places where it matters - like on a resume/job application, in a published book/magazine/newspaper or on signs. Anything that is intended to be permanent should contain correct spelling, unless it's deliberately misspelled to draw attention, e.g., Krazy Klown's Kookie Kastle.
