It makes more sense to switch over, but it will be very difficult, remember NASA's Mars Climate Orbiter, and their use of English units instead of metric units, metric even confuses Rocket Scientist

I'm in Australia and we switched over in February 1964. At least I think it was '64 give or take a couple of years either side.

NASA and gringo scientists have been using the metric system for a long time, I didn't know about the Mars climate Orbiter, damn! 128 million dollars!
