my supernatural experience involved an eerie misty fog cloud thingy
that happened once in a small room of a technical college i go to.

as i looked inside, the mist had a lovely purple glow in it, it sort of resembled to
a foggy aurora inside an empty classroom. I kid you not!! !

so then, i freaked. i too confused what to react at that time, i was just completely dumbfounded confused/amazed and
probably scared. :pale:

all 100% true. from start 2 finish. 8O

I don't know, but there was one incident I'll never forget. It was a day after my great grandmother's funeral. My dad came in the living room and sounded odd and a little nervous. All he said was that in the closet he saw a drawer open by itself. We all thought he was kidding. He's always been real cynical who doesn't believe in anything relating to the paranormal. But he acted strange that day. We asked if he knew what had done it and he said he didn't know, he told us he couldn't find anything wrong with the drawers.

Later that day I went into the closet to get my laundry. Then I heard a weird screaching noise that scared the crap out of me. One of the drawers had opened and there was nothing there to open it. I started looking for any animals or objects that might have done it. I kept pushing the drawers in and out, nothing happened. I already knew it was an old drawer and it had belonged to my great grandmother once upon a time. I kept trying to find out what had caused it to do what it did. The drawers were already hard to open and shut making it difficult for any of them to just open like that one did.

It was the freakiest thing, I had goose bumps all over me. I didn't know whether to even fathom if it was my deceased grandmother or not. I cried a day later for no reason and wondered if it was her and her own funny way of saying goodbye. I haven't seen or heard about the drawers moving since then. I'd like to believe it was her that day. I don't know and guess I'll never find out.

Numerous experiences, so many that Para-psych was my major at one time.
I have a skeptics head, but a believers heart. And I have definitely seen some things that it would be better to believe I was crazy than to believe I saw what I'd actually seen.(Did that make ANY sense :D ?)
My Great-Grandfather (who's full Cherokee, died at 104) told my Mom after "ball lightening" rolled up to me when I was 12 that "She has been granted vision by the Great Thunderbird"and he gave me his bone choker.
Don't know if it has anything to do with AS, am currently studying levels of consciousness and often wonder if they tie together. Also maybe it's part of of something "inter-dimensional", or maybe its all just "wishful thinking" although there have been some really interesting experiments on affecting random generators.
Who knows but I love to theorize and most of all to "Wonder"

I think there is a connection , simply because we have a different way of thinking that puts us in the minority we may be more open to believing in things such as this .

I my self have had to many experiences to count , from moving thing with my mind ,to just having visions. I would like to believe anyone can do it, in fact I have taught a few of my friends how to do it them selves. The problem is with conventional thinkers is they discount things to quickly , and never see the truth that lies therein . Heres an exercise I invented, it was the same one I used to teach my friends how to move things . get a peace of string and tie it to something so it can hang freely, close all vents and windows, or anything that might make it blow around, and don't get to close to it because your breathing my move it as well.

close your eyes stare at it in your minds eye and see it moving then slowly open your eyes, and look at it and push it with your eyes. ( this is the tricky part.) stare hard at it and use your eyes as if they were your hands and push on the string . you should feel a light pressing sensation on your eyes or just under your eyelids, (or at least i do) keep pushing on the string and it should move ever so slightly. like an inch or two. the trick is making a believable goal for you to achieve if your trying to move a sofa you'll never get anywhere . you need to start small. try it !

My mum has her own paranormal message board. I get it form her. Yeah, I've experiences a thing or two. I don't believe it has anything to do with autism. Autism might make us more aware of such things... but a I doubt it.

One early sunday morning, i dreamed that my future father in law told me that i was always welcome in his family and shook my hand. I then dreamed that my future husband and his brother and sister were standing in a house that had all the windows and doors blown out. Swallows were flying in and out of the house through the windows. swallows are a symbol of death in some cultures. I knew that when i was dreaming, but had no idea what it had anything to do with.

When i got up that morning, I didnt think much about it, until Mark, my fiancee called me and told me his father had died that morning of a heartattack.

I have had several paranormal experances, one that stands out is when I tossed down a hatchet and I turned around, next thing I knew it flew past my head (nearly hit it) it made my hair move and everything. there was no way that it could have flown like that.

I have had several precognitive dreams. One was about a historical event so momentous I couldn't relate it here without everybody believing I was making it up to make myself seem important.

So have I. :) What is this sleep paralisis? I think I might have had it last month while on a caffine high. I thought my soul was being sucked out that night at 1:20 am. Strange though, that the next morning at 1:23am I find myself having woken up from a nightmare about some demon that wanted to whisk me away yet again. 8) I feel so wanted by the after relm.

My mother was confused and thought I was out of my mind or something when I explained to her what it was like. I was laying in bed, eyes wide open and looking at the ceiling. I felt like I had two hands, as if the walls were half there, and my head felt like a candle fire only not hot in any way. I know.. odd huh?

I'll give it a go & let you know what happens. I do't have much else to do tonight, except stare at my computer.

Here's how sleep paralysis works.

Sleep is like a cycle: it has several phases that repeat in a certain order. Each cycle, the phases get longer, so if you sleep longer, you will reach a longer duration for each phase and more repetitions of the cycle.

The REM phase of sleep is the phase in which dreams are more intense. The body is effectively paralyzed during this phase. Some speculate that the paralysis is to prevent people from acting out their dreams. (When you see a human or animal twitching, moving, or making sounds during sleep, it is not in response to a dream; it is a result of the way the nervous system is affected by shifting from one sleep phase to another.) It is normal to wake briefly at the end of each REM phase, usually too briefly to remember later.

Sleep paralysis occurs a person wakes up during the REM phase instead of when it has just ended. The body is paralyzed and dreaming often continues. Being conscious and paralyzed triggers a fear response which tends to give a nightmarish quality to the dreams. In the past, people commonly reported seeing demons. Now people report seeing aliens, but generally speaking, the experiences are very similar to historical descriptions of sleep paralysis.

One can also experience sleep paralysis without dreaming. If you are ever paralyzed for a moment when you wake up in the morning, it's probably sleep paralysis.

My mom had an alien abduction experience when she was around 13 (1963)
It really strongly affected her

I have had various and sundry experiences mostly ghost-related.

The most material being when I saw a pen jump out of a coffee can and roll onto the floor..subtle yet spooky...

I was living in this little room at the time that had such a creepy vibe that I more-or-less slept on the couch every night...and spent as little time in there as possible, and my cats wouldn't go in there...My rommates thought the house was a bit "knocky"...but my room was the "knockiest" of all

I was staying at the house of my boyfriend's uncle and his house had a basement with really steep stairs...and I just did not like the feeling of the place.

Supposedly, a man had once fallen down the basement steps and broken his neck and died.

I was the only person awake and I was watching television in the living room and the tv was right next to the entrance to the darkened kitchen, where the stairs to the basement were.

I kept seeing something shadowy move out of the corner of my eye.

I would try to discount it, but it would happen again...and i did imagine that I saw a humanlike shape towards the back of the kitchen where the basement stairs were.

It pretty much spooked me into going to bed.
