maybe users dont reply because they have nothing to say [a common thing amongst both auties and aspies],or aren't able to put what they think into words.
am dont reply to threads,for a lot of reasons-the post is overloading,hate the unpredictibility of not knowing what answer is going to be,cant put an answer together,have no interest in it,looks like a nasty post or a trolls post etc.
Am often start threads when needed but most of the time cannot cope with revisiting to read direct replies due to a major problem with unpredictibility,try to build up strength for it,but come out of it overloaded,am have got abuse for it on a disability forum but they will post understanding messages to users with mental illnesses who dont reply out of being in a MH episode,how is that for ignorance.

am have equal respect for everything [from the forum,to the colours,to the users] so never not answer because hate/have no respect,
am think dont take it as meaning are hated/not respected,are a nice user,it will be other reasons.

Your posts are more specific and to the point, than others. This makes it hard to elaborate, when a simple yes or no would do fine, especially after a couple responses have already been posted, which seem to answer the initial question very well. Also, because you are a young,single woman, most men won't disagree with you, and if they do, they will usually either lie or not respond at all. You have anything to worry about. You are a well-liked member of WP.

I'd only care if I started the topic. Making a topic and getting no replies is depressing.

If I kill a topic, I don't really care.

Being a person who's started and crashed my own threads like the Titanic, I can empathize. However, I don't take it personally. Sometimes I like to talk about things (a lot of things, actually) that people just aren't interested in. I've only started a handful of threads here, mainly because I can't avoid feeling hurt if people ignore it. No one replies to my replies, either, unless I say something offensive (which I actually do try to avoid), so don't feel bad. MissConstrue - I read your posts all the time, I just don't reply to many of them because it often looks like you only talk to specific people on the forum (which is true with a lot of folks here - they only like talking to certain people, maybe age group or gender-specific, etc). I don't hold it personally, even if it does sting a little when people don't reply to me. I'm used to it, LOL.

Hmmm, thanks for the feedback and your honesty. I never noticed that before I'll try to work on that. I guess it's an aspie trait, egocentricity maybe?

^ I'm guilty of the same, though I try not to be. Well, it's more like I only respond to topics that interest me, which I guess everyone does.

By the way, I'm going the same thing MissConstrue was going through earlier, no one is responding to my topic!

One problem that I've noticed is that sometimes a topic will get bumped downward when people come on this forum and respond to the more long-standing (popular?) threads and it takes a while for people to notice a new one. I try to respond to new threads when I can, even if it feels like most of the time I'm just talking to myself (heh, heh)

Yeah, I rarely post my own topics. Most of what I have to say in on topics that already exist. I get the feeling that I'm talking to myself as well, especially when I have something really important to say and no one responds to it.
