My mom and I are considering visiting Denmark next year. We're part Danish, but we know next to nothing about our Danish heritage. So we think it'd be nice to visit. :)

It's because of the cold. If you froze your butt off and the only redeeming feature was pastries, you would have a surly attitude as well. :D

True, true. That would explain a lot about the Scots too - just replace pastries with haggis and sporrans

The Scottish tend to be very friendly, not surly.
