You know, the funny thing is that I own and carry many guns, and they actually have a calming affect on me. Knowing I have the power is enough to keep me from getting really angry, and the weight on my hip is a constant reminder of the consequences of losing my temper. Carrying a gun is an experience that many people have never had, and it is far different than you probably think. I know it was not what I expected.

I actually know what you mean, because when I lived in the DC area (guns are legal in Virginia where I lived for awhile), I was really comfortable around guns.

Nevertheless, there were times when I was really glad I did not have one around the house, because I'm certain I would have grabbed it and killed an Abusive Someone in My House! :evil:
