The Ricoh 2A03 does have a unique sound, as it is rather has a "starchy" sound to it's bass, compared to the MOS-SID, POKEY and the Yamaha YM2149. Most consider it unusable for music purposes due toits limitations in sound quality and prefer the YM2149 for harsh bass sounds and the SID for more melodic lead lines and arpeggios.

If you were playing it on the Wii with an HDTV then it is alright to turn it up loud sometimes on a stereo. If you were playing Super Mario Bros. on the old NES it would be embarrassing to turn it up loud.

Was it on the Wii Virtual Console or the NES?

If ya have downstairs neighbors, you can really tick them off by playing DDR for hours on end, turned up real loud. :D I did that once 'cause I didn't realize how loud it was... and I was just getting started at the time, so I was heavy on my feet... CLOMP CLOMP CLOMP-CLOMP-CLOMP!

Nowadays, I keep everything in my apartment turned down WAY low, probably unncessarily quiet, just to avoid my neighbors. The neighbors where I live are SCARY. :(

MARIO FTW!! !

The Beatles made my neighbours angry when I was 14, so I can relate.

That's like watching a movie on an old VCR and turning it up really loud even though a newer VCR would be embarassing too.
