We also build flashing lights, radios, phones, computers, trains, etc. According to Dawkins, paraphrased: anything designed must be simpler than its designer. Therefore we are not simple creatures.

I don't need a cellphone, because I'm usually with my mom and when I'm not with my mom, I'm with my dad or sister. I never go anywhere by myself.

I just have a cell phone, a rather basic one, no camera or MP3 player or radio. We don't have a home phone, we just use our cell phones.

The cell phone I have has a calculator which comes in handy from time to time when shopping, a calender helps me keep track of the date, a clock to keep track of time, and games to play when I'm bored waiting at the doctors office or whatever. I mostly got it for emergencies, but emergencies rarely happen. Also got it to keep in touch with my brothers, #2brother never kept up with his and ran the time up all the time causing overcharges, so just me and #4brother have one now. It's good to have if one of us locks ourselves out of the home(We both have a key) or car(We both have a key, though I keep an extra in my wallet now) or has a car break down and/or needs a ride, or if we're both at a large store or in the mall but in different areas we can call each other to find out where the other one is.

Nobody uses it to chat alot, I may get or give a call once a week or so, not very often. We have 400 whenever minutes each month, we use about 100 of them. Calls are free between our phones which are on the same account.

The most amazing thing about cellphones is that you can hang up without picking up first. I wish every phone could do that.

same ^^' I hate the sound phones make when they vibrate. I hear it from across the room and it bugs me >_<

silent mode is awesome ^^

also: on the cordless in the living room you can hang up without answering. I love that device just for that ^^

Anyone else like this? Or how do you look at cellphones.

I thought I was alone. I can't really stand cell phones...especially when you're hanging out with a friend, in the middle of a conversation, and he decides to pull out his phone and start chatting up someone else :x

I have one, my mom made me get it for emergencies. It's just a little track phone.

I never, ever use it.

There was something on the news here.. Something about something that one could use to listen in on other peoples phones.

Sometimes our cordless phone picks up cell phone conversations of people driving down the highway.
