Yes, exactly. Global warming, if it continues at its current pace, will have major economic consequences over the next couple decades, causing all kinds of agriculture and other industries to be sorely messed up, eventually bringing about a complete economic collapse around 2050 or so and the complete failure of civilization will not be far behind it. On the plus side, with all this failure of industry, we will have a lot less stuff to pollute with, so it all balances out in the end. Personally I plan to retire to Alaska, which should be nice and tropical by then and enjoy a nice retirement and shoot anyone who gets to close to my property .

Incidentally, I suggest you start buying your property in alaska now, because once it starts to warm up there, the prices are going to shoot way up, and the good properties are going to go fast :D.

I'm going to buy some property in Antarctica or a house-boat. Penguins taste like chicken I hear.

A house boat is the way to go, it makes moving a lot easier and you can just keep yourself in the habitable band as it moves toward the poles. I will either do that or get a nice cabin somewhere. Possibly both.

Hopefully Amazon will still keep running in the event of a zombie invasion :).

all I need is two pair of those and I'm pretty much a walking killing machine. except I'm not short and I'm not Canadian, and I don't self heal.

I'm still updating the list. that's the most recent list as of February, but I need Napalm I know that for fire launching and stuff like that.

I figure if you ever need protection, you can come to me, because I'll be in a fortress, surrounded by mines, and guns(think 28 days later) and smartly more defended then a bunch of w*kers who wanted to get laid.

What about a real apocolypse... supposed we learned that an asteroid was going to hit the Earth in a year, destroying all life on the planet? How would you feel then? (I don't know how I'd react)

I wouldn't react at all. What would be the point? Getting scared and desperate is rather pointless if destruction is inevitable.

Well, would you still go to work? Would you feel that societal restraints would still be in force?

Yes I would behave normally. I would probably stay at home because people would start acting crazy. I'm not afraid of dying so I wouldn't behave differently if I knew I was going to die.
