Police officer came by. I printed out thread in question and Alex's personal contact page. I tried contacting him in the presence of the officer. Went to voicemail.

With any luck, they'll be able to run her IP, find out who she is, where she is and do a welfare check on her.

Are you fo real?

I thought Nakpinji was being sincere. I didn't read it as sarcasm.

Every suicide threat must be taken seriously, even if the person is known to have made at least one such threat in the past. Of course, there's this story about "The Boy Who Cried 'Wolf!'," but it doesn't end well for the boy.

I hope MC is well.

I hope she is okay too. I am worried sick about her. She was my first friend on WP and if anything happened to her then I would be hurt to say the least.

^Really? Sounds very sarcastic to me...:?

And Digger1 I think you're over reacting. MC will probably reply when she feels like it.

and I'd tell myself that if we learn that she was found dead. Better safe than sorry.

I consider her a friend.

You know the saying "better to err on the side of caution" and all that.

Good job, Digger. A friend of mine posted something very similar on facebook and was attempting to take his own life. I called 911, spoke to the police about it (because at the time he was messaging back and forth with me and so I at least knew he was there and hadn't done anything yet) and they tracked him down. He was FURIOUS with me for "not minding my own business" and now no longer talks to me, but I don't regret what I did. It's good to look out for people when they can't think clearly for themselves.

Oh yeah, that could be potentially problematic...

But if she's been using it may get her a spot in rehab. That may not be such a bad thing. :?

Me too. She is an integral part of WP. The thought that she may have harmed herself make me feel very sad. :(

I hope things will start going better for her soon. It sounds like she's suffered more than enough lately.

I must have missed something somewhere along the line, I had no idea she was having these problems.
