What is something you're getting of sick of hearing about?

At the end of Reporting Scotland (the national news programme of BBC Scotland) there will almost always be some sort of 'heartwarming' story, such as perhaps "toddler rescues hedgehog from bonfire."

I'm sick of these.

Perhaps I'm heartless, but I cannot understand how such things could possible qualify as news. To me, it just serves to make Scottish news seems parochial.

I know this isn't exactly what was meant in the original post, but these sorts of stories show up all the time, and really they shouldn't get any further than a column in a local paper.

I hate hearing tiresome political arguments.

maybe because our tax dollars will go to her to support all of the children that she irresponsibly had? have you seen her living conditions?

i'm sick of a lot of things but i just ignore a lot of them(the jonas brother, reality tv, pop culture shite).

I'm sorry for the kid, I hope the mother rots but I'll never understand why kids make the national news when they wind up missing. Kids go missing every day! What makes Kaylee or the other one so much more special than the other thousand of kids that go missing every day?

I'm sick of reading subject lines that go something like, "Was *________ an Aspie?"

I mean, does it really matter if some bozo who died centuries ago was an Aspie or not?

Reality TV. Ages ago I liked I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, before it got crappy, and I guess I used to half-watch X Factor, but now it's just all pissing me off so much. And what's with Paris Hilton dragging her could-feed-a-third-world-nation wardrobe over to our country because she doesn't have a best friend (I wonder why)?! They just put any crap on TV these days.

On a related topic, genealogy shows. "Ooh, I think I may be related to Princess Diana, lets all spend time and money trawling through family trees just so I can go on TV and have my fifteen minutes of fame!" BS.

Sarah Palin. She lost because she sucked, end of. Now why are we still going on about her?

Jennifer Aniston. There were six main characters in Friends, not just her. So how come she's the only one we ever hear about anymore?

People who claim they can't find a job, but are only looking for the exact same type of job that they just lost, refusing to consider a job in a different field or a lower paying job. They say they can't buy food, pay bills, etc., but they won't even look at a fast food or telemarketing job.

-News headlines like "pet chimpanzee beats up owner" and the like.

-News headlines about abuse and crime. I think people have an unrealistically negative view of the world because of the media. I get sick of people squawking on and on about all the "sickos" out there. The media likes to demonize people and destroy innocent lives, and it really pisses me off.

-Gas prices and the bad economy

-"The Environment"

-Wal-Mart. Die already Wal-Marteee!

-And yeah. I hate all the Hannah Montanna, Jonas Brothers, celebrity gossip BS. I can barely go to the grocery store anymore because I hate standing in line at the checkout and seeing magazines about how "fat" Jessica Simpson has gotten. How innane are people?

More I things I hate to hear:

First person shooter games like Doom, and music groups such as Marilyn Manson are responsible for school shootings

The war in Iraq (which should be ended)

Spreading Intelligent Design into school systems

i just bring a book or my own magazine to read if the line is that long. make sure you're paying attention, though. the tired, overworked mother with curlers in her hair doesn't care if you're trying to better educate yourself.
