Riddle me this,
In a public forum and torrent tracker,
Which you advertise on other forums,
And have over 17,000 members,
If the information was really that important to national security, do you not think there would be hundreds of government agents on said site?
And they would be actively spreading disinformation?
Not to mention a hell of a lot of trolls, by what you're saying the place looks like a goldmine.

We're relatively - ie pretty much entierly troll free thanks to the sterling work of the admin team *ahem*

Yes, there are probably/definitely some agents monitoring the site, of course goes with the territory. The site has been attacked quite a lot of times but they can't touch us nowadays due to the level of brilliance of the root admin techie and because we have our own server (his)

In terms of misinformation - we have by and large a very astute well informed and intelligent membership base - BS gets rooted out pretty quick when it appears.

We have a scientist that designed the safety's on nuclear subs for the UK government.

Blah blah blah etc etc etc in no particular order (:))

We;re quite a mixed bag essentially.

The protocol is to have an open mind and value critical scrutiny.

People are not mocked for their ideas - unless they're patently stupid - the ideas not the people, no one gets put down for IQ ratings!

the language can be colourful and the debates sometimes intense

on the shout page anything goes.

the only thing that is not permitted is hate.

Excluding the tracker the forum is quite compact in comparison to the amount of activity here but there is a treasure trove of threads and articles that you can access. it's more or less quite a formidable news aggregator with real people giving opinion and making analysis.

The tracker is phenomenal for information - there's nothing else like it on the web

You 'should' probably check it out if you're intrigued. Best thing is to register so you can view the new posts and get a chronology of what's being talked about now and relatively recently..

But I would say all this wouldn't I? I'm slightly biased! :D

Yes, it is a 'gold mine' - why do you ask?

And the best thing for a government agent to do is not even mess with it at all as it draws attention. Also they don't feel overly threatened at all from the internet. It is possible that they want us to talk about things for reasons untold.

Why not go to said site? You might be overly surprised to see what you have found.

Look around!
