Right now, have returned to work but not full time yet, working on various B&J fanfictions using my OCs, got myself booted from sewing class , and focusing on my weight and watching B&J.

I thought I was dying a while ago. :(

Same. When I told my mum that NT small talk is stupid and pointless, she said, quote on quote, "It's not stupid, it's normal, it's what normal people do." I almost said, "Anti-semitism was normal in Nazi Germany, but that doesn't make it not stupid," but she gets pissed off when I use political analogies. Thinks I'm being a wise-ass or something.

P.S. This is NOT to poke fun at anyone. It just happens to be one of my favorite New Yorker cartoons. I respect the psoters above very much and take their posts seriously.

I am bolstering my credentials to improve my chances of getting a permanent teaching job this Fall... recently passed a couple of certification exams, which basically qualify me for the position. I really need this job. A bit of financial security would be wonderful.

I am always working on my garden. It is suffering from the 3-year drought we are in, but surviving nonetheless. Just started a project to cover an old gazebo frame with flowering vines. Should look pretty damn cool one day. Growing fruit trees and herbs, and always looking for unique plants to add. OK, I'll stop now about the garden. 'Cause otherwise I won't.

I am raising my son, who will be 4 pretty soon. He is obviously gifted, although thankfully not autistic, and requires constant engagement or he gets bored. It is a challenge, but a blessing.

I am trying to work 2 jobs, keep the house clean, keep the family functional and taken care of, and sort out the confouded stew that is my mind... all with basically no help. My son's mother doesn't really do a whole lot except work on her art. I'm not tremendously resentful about it, just frustrated... because I can't be in three places at once and go on 5 hours of sleep every night, indefinitely.

I've started going to therapy again, which has been helpful after a nearly 5-year gap. It has been almost 5 months since I discovered Asperger's Syndrome, and I would like to get in to see a doctor about it, whenever I am able to get insurance, which takes me back to the first item in this post.

wow. I didn't even realize I was doing so much. :chin:

It's a play on the "Islamo-fascist" that neocons like to call Arabs these days.

I'm working part-time at Spencer's as a supervisor, and working towards my Associates Degree in the Arts - because I can't decide on a major. :P
