It's not just my opinion, ZEGH8578. Our army is in actuality designed to last for 24 hours. That doesn't mean 220 000 soldiers are going to die, but it means that is the minimum amount of time (pessimistic view) we can keep enemies from taking control over the authorities. 8)

yes, yes, i imagined it wasnt your personal opinion, and i get the idea of effectivity-untill-reinforcements arrive. i was just being a nitpick. its too easy to imagine - living in a small country - that 'size is everything' so i just wanted to correct it where i could :D

also, the 24-hour rule must be against a major power. if iceland, angola or urugyay decided to charge, we would definitely hold our own for a much longer period

my whole point is: theres no ONE rule, "norways army can only survive any hostile situation for 24 hours, untill theyre all doomed to hell" but its true for a given worst-case scenario.
For example, when soviet threatened to attack up in finnmark, if they had rolled their tanks through we would most likely have piled up dead people in finnmark, rained down some fighterplanes over the same area, and probably managed to slow the ruskies down for a couple of minutes, maybe 20 minutes :D
24 hours from the point of invasion, i do indeed imagine our army worn down to almost nothing, and desperately waiting for reinforcements from elsewhere.

on the other hand, if denmark - on its own, decides to attack, its possible that we could keep it up for years and years, shelling coasts etc...

if the swedes invade, we just erect some tall bushes, and place them strategically around. they wont resist the urge to get naked, and dance around it. we can easily destroy them in such a vulnerable state.

i wonder what the enemy would use on us.

buttered and sugared lefse! that would sell me off! mmmm!

warfare in the møre region could be characterized by the hand-out of delicious svele :o

LOL

Sausages are nice, but personally I would prefer some frikadeller http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frikadeller or some æbleskiver! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%86bleskiver . :D
That would calm most Danes down too I guess.

Rødgrød, yeah sure, that's a good one too!
But I guess it will depend on the season, people can try to calm us down with rødgrød in the summer, and with æbleskiver in the winter.

i love rødgrød :D
whenever i have it, i have to make fun of the danish pronounciation, at least once, but usually many times in a row, laughing at the same joke, like an infant :]

what would be foods to calm a norwegian down? and dont say herring >:I

(altho herring can easily get me all zen and dossile, in notime  )

edit Kenjuudo (easyer for you to notice, and better for chronology): when did you go btw? i always forget, but it should be 3-4 years since i was there. it says on a t-shirt i have :D it was _the_ year smoking got banned in restaurants!
we went to the ålesund city-fire comemoration (yeah, one city fire and they have an annual party. trondheim burned down like 40 times, and what do we got?)
i made a collective funny! w a public laugh! it was awesome, it will remain a cherished memory forever :D

they had some light-show depicting burning flames, on the wall of a building, and had a silouhette of a hot woman dancing in the fire.
and i yelled "get out of there, lady! the house is on fire!" in the always-successfull trønder dialect, and got spontaneous mass-laugh from the crowds 8)

Maybe you Norwegians could be calmed down with myseost? I really love that. I had it first time when I was in Norway in 1991 (13 years old), and wasn't sure if I liked it or not, but some years ago I bought it at home, and totally fell in love with it. :D

BTW the time I was in Norway then (in Hovet, Hallingdal), it was the first time I saw mountains live, so to speak, and with snow on the top... it was so beautiful, I couldn't help staring at them for a long, long time. :D

That's what is like to be born in at totally flat country.

What's funny is the name of the highest "mountain" in Denmark: Himmelbjerget (Translates to "Skymountain") with it's incredible 147 meters above the sea level...

Yes that's a funny thing...
It's not the highest point in Denmark though, that is Møllehøj, 170.86 m above sea level.

Kenjuudo, that means you were at the appropriate folkehøgskole age at the time ;) i wasnt :D i was *that guy* in class, whos obviously older than everyone else, and therefore has:
1. problems in life ;D
or
2. well.. some sort of issue :D

AnnePande, i live IN the mountaincountry, and i only see whats visible from the city. i really should get out there more, but i got nothing there. like... what do i do? grab a bus, hop off, in the middle of nowhere? then what? :D
i need a mountain-base. i want a cabin :(

btw i knew it was møllehøj, despite norwegians famous himmelbjerget assumption. probably cus himmelbjerget is more logically funny "the sky mountain" 8)
its charming tho
i remember in kid school, a "degoratory term" for a flat-chested woman, was "denmark" 8)

I don't know... maybe you should get a cabin, that sounds nice. :)

It's really embarrassing because I didn't know it was Møllehøj before I read it on Wiki, thought it was Ejer Bavnehøj (why did everyone tell me that in school?!)

I came to think about that maybe you could also interpret the name "Himmelbjerget" as "Heaven Mountain" because it's such a heavenly place. :D Very beautiful nature, view over lake and wood, and a nice little tower on the top. And you can buy an icecream and a beautifully carved walking stick. (But it still wouldn't be a real mountain. :( )

Haha I really laughed of that... kind of evil but also funny.
