S'okay =) I don't know if I saw that exact show, but I did see something about the queen not being of English heritage. Didn't the crown go to some distant Scandinavian relatives or something?

I'm American. It seems most on here are British or American, and the poll shows this.

Even though I'm British, I am actually English, though possibly not 100 percent, as my mum did some genetic Dna testing and found she was 3% sub saharan african 7% native american, and 90% european.

The "British" Royal Family are mainly of German descent, real family names being
Saxe-Coburg -Gotha and Battenburg.Prince Philip also has Greek ancestry.

It's not something I'd hold against them anyway, given that the British peoples' heritage is mainly a mixture of Germanic (Anglo-Saxon,Norse,Danish,Flemish),Franco-Norse (Norman) and Celtic (Scottish,Irish,Welsh,Cornish). The English language is dominated by words of Latin and Greek origin.
You can tell that my interests include history, geography and languages :) . I find that
nowadays the world is becoming more and more integrated, which is probably a good thing as
national sterotypes can be misleading.
