I wouldn't mind meeting you L2S. Will you be willing to travel to Joburg?

Thanks, JHB ZA,is that near ASDF XYZ?

i think thats johannesburg, south africa. i saw a documentary about it recently, scared the living sh** out of me. seriously. i walk out the airplane there, and i bet i get mugged and killed on my way down the stairs :S

Neh, Johannesburg isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Sure crime is a problem, but I don't think you'll get mugged or killed by walking down the stairs. The weather is great here as well.

Oh and L2S, don't forget to take a turn by JKLMNOP.

Don't worry SA is not as bad as people make out to be. Documentaries can be misleading sometimes. I knew our crime rate was high, but no1 in the world? :? Guess I haven't been paying much attention to the news. Besides you don't only have to visit joburg, you can visit cape town and durban and so many other places. :D

according to most gun-related crime + homicide ratings, south africa ends up sharing a #1 spot w thailand and colombia, yes, #1 :D
but right behind comes all the rest of africa, the rest of south america, the rest of south asia, and all of eastern europe.
russia and those european ex-soviet states have VERY bad crime, especially russia.
"the list" is sortof predictable that way

but yes, its a huge country, and i bet the worst crime happens in the big-city slums, and maybe poor suburbs also near cities. it cant possibly happen everywhere, or the country would grind to a halt :D

also, what such lists fail to illustrate is that even in #1-worst crime country, the actual number of murders per capita is very tiny. murders arent "supposed" to happen, and that clearly applies "even to" south africa, colombia and thailand :D
oslo was, during the 90's, the worst crime-ridden city of europe, in a per-capita measurement, and oslo was very safe, even back then.

No I won't deny crime is pretty intolerable. But despite it SA is a beautiful country and still I would not leave. It's just such a pity about the crime.

Maybe I should put the GP before ZA. GP - Gauteng Province. Or otherwise known as Gangsters Paradise. :P

Sure, I'd meet with you L2S. Your about my age.

So what do you think of Michigan? (I know there has to be some stereotype floating around in your head)

You seem cool, but I live the other side of the pond, and tbh I'm not much of a conversationalist tbh

I have way too much social anxiety. I'd have a panic attack that doesn't make a very good first impression.

Like I said, if you're ever in Massachusetts, hit me up, I know of some nice bars where it doesn't get too crowded.
