I often sign it in notes to familiar people...Livolia..which is what an old music partner used to call me..

my middle name is Alexis

My son was going to be Olivia if he was a girl and maybe called Livy. My grandmother's name was Olivia but she was known her entire life as Dibby.

Bas to make it easier to shout :)

That is quite possibly the best name I've ever heard of.

Name is Adam though, I do have a Native American name yet, I choose not to use it as it would seem corny if not sound absurd to most..

I like your name.

@ Everyone Else: Is it just me, or does this thread feel like a scene
out of the movie Kick-Ass?

I don't remember if I've already posted here, but my name is Alex.

Actually, my first name is Jason, but my middle name is Alexander, and I've been going by Alex since I was very small. I was born on Friday the 13th, you see. I don't have any real problem with it, and think it makes an amusing story, but I just have gone by Alex for a long time, and prefer it.

My older sister is named Amber, and the younger is Laurel. I'm a middle child between two girls. I mention this because of this neat bit of symbolism with our names. For mother's day, you see, Amber and I got our mom a necklace, with (synthetic) alexandrite and amber stones on a bit of laurel branch, as I recall. I just think it's really cool how that works out. I was initially named after my grandfather, but the name has become more symbolic of the stone, which changes colors under different lighting. It also complements how my eyes are two different colors, although that has faded dramatically since I was younger..... Still though, if you look, one is a bit brighter and more of a greenish hazel than the other, darker and more brown one.
