Yeah, in California. It's not just my location, though. Like I said, my husband isn't exactly supportive.

Oh, I just would've thought California would have a decent number of qualified people.
'cause it's one of the most popular (& populated) states i know of. Not exactly a tumbleweed villa like the midwest  .

& sorry, to hear that about your husband.
Have you tried subtly leaving an informative Asperger's pamphlet on his pillow :o ?

I bought him Look Me In The Eye and we had a deal that he would read it and I would read a time management book.

He never read it. He's never even cracked the damn book. Ugh...

slideshow?
aspie movie?
life-size alex plank cardboard cut-out?

or you could try withholding sex as an incentive to read.
like each time he wants to get busy he has to read a set minimum number of pages first  .

Nah... I don't withhold sex. That would surely be more of a punishment for me then him. LOL

Hi Ferdinand,

This is the 169th reply to this thread, which was started less than 12 hours ago!!

Have you considered running for political office (or any other kind of criminal career  )

The OP's sarcasm is a foreign language, to me. It reminds me of the girls, that I went to high school, with.

He's banned, Blindy!

I hope I can get a diagnosis easy enough in WA.
Can you get them easier when you're in college? I would definitely kind of need some benefits in college.

Probably depends on the college. I went to a community college and despite the fact that the teachers knew something was off (I took child development, so it was pretty obvious to them) I didn't actually pursue any services.

I do know that you need valid paperwork before they will give you any special services. This is why I didn't pursue it... I didn't want to be reminded of just how f****d up I was.

I would like valid paperwork. I like things being for certain, and I'd like some closure.
I don't think being "reminded" would make me feel that bad. If anything better. :P I still feel like a pretty normal person, and have friends and stuff.

Generally speaking, they do not give valid paperwork unless it is required for something.

I had very bad experiences with school and peers in high school, so I didn't like to think about my diagnoses. I'm sure if I had been comfortable with them, college would have been easier and I may not have dropped out.
