My avatar is actually Zorak from The Brak Show. I first used him on another board where I'm a regular, where I use the same screen name. I now use that screen name everywhere, so I can use the same avatar. I just like the way he looks. And if you watch the avatar for at least eight seconds, you'll see that it's animated.

I chose this avatar

because I'm absolutely obsessed with Psychology and Neurology and this is a classic pic from the anals of psych. I've edited it though as it was originally just the black and white line drawing. A little antiquing, a little red, yellow, and then blue frame.
