Trying a new sleep med, of the sort where you aren’t supposed to take it until you are in your bed, it might knock you out so quickly. I took it an hour and a half ago :| Not the first such medication I’ve tried that’s been nowhere near that effective (if effective at all), probably won’t be the last. I regularly have to change sleep meds when the previous one stops working, unmedicated I’m lucky to get half an hour of sleep total.

I usually hit the sack about 7:00 PM, but since being diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease stage 3, I’m up and in the bathroom every hour, on the hour (ah, the joys of type Ii diabetes and hypertension. :skull: )

i hope you can get that ameliorated soon. type II can be improved if not reversed. vanadium, chromium and cinnamon [to improve insulin sensitivity and reduce blood sugar levels] have been used by a few naturopathic docs to help diabetics reduce their need for injectable insulin. you'd have to see a doc to find the proper individual dose. what is known is that taking over 1000mg of chromium is counterproductive. 20-100 mg/day is a typical dose range of vanadium. medicinal grade turmeric/curcumin also has been shown to lower blood sugar in test subjects. i've been taking that for several years now. i was borderline diabetic [II] until i did certain things to avert that. this is coming from one with a family history of type II.

My eyes are exhausted but my brain is wide awake.

I hate that feeling. Awake enough to be restless, but not enough to do anything.

Well finally got some sleep last night , but my post that I put here between 11 and 1 am , must have been too tired to even show up after I posted it ,,or could have been censored for posting to such a innocuous thread ?

I have returned.

Back to night walking, stalking the rural public roads, likely looking like I'm up to no good (not like anyone will see me because there's no one around), but nope, I just can't sleep and I like walking outdoors, and I don't disturb animals if I use the road. Night animals get quite upset with humans. I can use my old NODs, but night animals are far more astute to the slightest of noise, leaves crushing. I wear a headlamp along with carrying a decent flashlight in one of my pockets.

Memories have me up this night, as they always do.

Deep sleep, but short sleep. Had worse, but could be better. Too much stress from work.
