I scare people away, as well. Once they see my name on the top of a forum, along with their names, they run like hell. I wonder what their reasons could be?

Whoa I had no idea this happened to so many other people! Yeah ever since I started doing message boards (around 1999) that would happen, I would reply to a seemingly heated thread and it would just tank. I have referred to myself as a "thread-killer" in my mind before, but this is the first time I've ever seen the term used.

Weird...
