If I'm going to be involved in any meetups anywhere though, I probably wouldn't be able to attend alone due to my lack of confidence in public and such

Are there any decent American ciders out there? If not, I'll bring a bottle or two of Sheppy's or Henney's cider, or perhaps even Aspall's Imperial - 8.2% ABV!

No problem by the way, TenPencePiece. I won´t be coming unaccompanied in any case. :)

Woodchuck is ubiquitous and palatable. Nothing special though.

Crispin is quite good, I've been impressed with their ciders.

I think cider in the US is still relatively new, and I'm not sure if it's accepted by consumers--If anything I'd say it's gaining momentum. It could also be more regional and local. I know Wisconsin has some orchards that make their own cider [one in particular looks quite nice, it's name eludes me, and I remember it being overpriced...], but I haven't seen it in stores.

In summation: You can find quality US cider--it's just a bit harder to find.

No problem, though you won't get a proper response until late tomorrow evening at the very earliest. More likely Tuesday or Wednesday.

EDIT: That sounded really strange and awkward.

There are very wise, wonderful and talented people here :D who would be fantastic to meet,
but I wouldn't wish a meeting with me on you.

....except maybe Fnord because
If he said "tomaato", I would say "tomauto" and that would be about it *lol*

I'm just kidding Fnord if you read this :D

Although auntblabby's weird music and hard cider really sounds great. 8)

and it might be interesting for purchase and I to compare all of the things we want to delete from our WP profiles  ...like everything *lol*

if ya ever stop by olympia, washington sometime, you will find our square pegs aspie meetups @1PM, the first and third saturdays of each month, at evergreen community college, in the lounge across from the cafeteria.
