Took some photos in Preston today. This is what I came up with:

Construction work taking place on Watery Lane. This has been going on forever. It's taking place right over Umbertos fish and chip shop and I can't imagine the owners being particularly happy about all the business they must be losing:

Why are so many closing? Is it the economy that is closing them? I know around where I live we have so many shops and business that are closed. Some of the buildings are almost completely vacant. It looks horrible.
