"American style"!?! 8O
Those were always "Scottish pancakes" or "Scotch pancakes" in our house (same thing as drop scones)!
[I shall refrain from commenting on whether I think this makes them more or less "heathen". ]

^ I'm still a bit suspicious. Any true Brit would know that the only proper kind of "lemon" to accompany pancakes should be from a plastic-squeezy Jif lemon; not that lah-di-dah "slice of real fruit on a fork" continental nonsense in your photo! It's a slippery slope - you could wake up one day to find yourself saying "crêpes"!

I don't think I'm doing this whole being a Brit thing right.

Not a great fan of tea, and I prefer thick pancakes to thin. I don't like that fake squeezy lemon stuff either. Sometimes I eat savoury stuff with plain pancakes. Chocolate chip American style pancakes are my favourite kind.

I have weird taste buds, I can't seem to enjoy a sprinkling of sugar on a thin pancake because the pancake is too savoury and it contrasts with the sugar too much. Then again, I also water down my lemonade and most of the food I eat is cold because I take so long eating anything.

Dear Everyone,

I'm sorry.

Unless you're also like me, then in which case- have a T-shirt. Let's start a club. :P

Well, if you think that's bad...sometimes I ignore pancake day and eat something for tea other than pancakes. Yes I know, I am responsible for many crimes against food. 8)

I had a dream last night that I was in a hotel in London. There were all these neat British things to look at right down to the stationary. I felt like I was 21 again.

^ It's been glorious here in Yorkshire too - about 16/17C, just about my ideal temperature. It's rare that I get to inflict my legs on people this early in the year! The critters seem to be loving it too - the explosion in the amount of bird-song over just a couple of days has been amazing.

Cut my grass, only 999,999 things left to do before my next rent inspection in March.

Aw gawd, I really would like to cut my grass but not sure my body can cope today.

Seeing as it's our last day of unusually warm weather I feel compelled to do the garden.
