Dr. Perkins: No, you have autism, therefore you are insane.

Elizabeth: No! I can't be insane. I'm not suicidal. That's my sister, she's the one!

Dr. Perkins: Then how come you're here and she's not?

Elizabeth: Because I was abandoned. Nobody wants me. Nobody cares.

Dr. Perkins: People do care, but your selfishness has caused them to stop.

Elizabeth: I'm not selfish.

Dr. Perkins: Yes, yes you are. You're nothing but a selfish fourteen year old. You rely on others too much.

Elizabeth: Well, if I'm autistic as you say I am, I mustn't be that high functioning then, as I still have a nanny at home to care for me.

Dr. Perkins: I see that you are impressionable, just like a child.

Elizabeth: No I'm not!

Dr. Perkins: There's no reason to get upset, here, wipe your eyes.

Elizabeth: No! I want to be taken back to my room.

Dr. Perkins: We're not finished here.

Elizabeth: I am!

Dr. Perkins: Sit back down you little runt.

Elizabeth: What did you call me?

Dr. Perkins: Sit down young lady.

Elizabeth: I want to know what did you call me?

Dr. Perkins: For the love of god, please sit down! Sit down before I beat your ass.

Elizabeth: You can't touch me.

Dr. Perkins: Watch me.

Elizabeth: Ok, I'll sit back down.

Dr. Perkins: Of course you will runt. Autistic piece of s**t. Nurse! come take Elizabeth back to her room. She is not to partake in recreation time.

Elizabeth: No! I want recreation time.

Dr. Perkins: you should have thought about that when I told you to sit down.

Elizabeth: a**hole.

Dr. Perkins: Your mother wouldn't want to hear that.

Elizabeth: She's not here. She left me here to die. Left me to get beaten by you, a sadistic coward.

Dr. Perkins: You better watch what you say, there are ears and eyes all over this hospital. You may find yourself at the bottom of the Taunton River, or even locked in a boiler. Take her away.

Tomorrow, as part of a group, I am to give a presentation to a room full of people. Right now, I'm pretty numb about it, but I reckon I'm going to be feeling the nerves soon.
