AS R.M.S. REPUBLIC SINKS, ADMIRAL AND WIFE SAFE

Peter City, As survivors from the RMS Republic were unloaded from the RMS Baltic and SS Florida, the admiral and his wife, departing the Creedon Republic on their way to the Mediterranean on vacation, were rudely interrupted during the early morning hours as the bow of the SS Florida, a ship bound for Peter City from the earthquake ravaged city of Medina in Sicily, sliced into the ship. Captain Inman Sealby kept the ship afloat as rescue ships poured in from all over the region. First on the scene was of course the SS Florida. The Creedonian Naval Cutter Gresham also responded to the incident. The RMS Baltic was the last to reach the scene, as she had become lost in the fog. Jack Binns, radioman on board Republic, is quoted as having invented a new distress call. The previous call "CQD" was taking too much time to transmit, so a new call: "SOS" was used. The admiral, on hand after arriving back in Peter City, awarded him with a Life saving medal.

The ship after 39 hours afloat, finally succumbed to the sea. Amazingly, all but three passengers on the Republic survived. Three crewmen on the Florida were killed when the bow was crushed back to the collision bulkhead. When questioned about the sinking putting a dent in his vacation plans, Admiral Bukater said "We're going to try again, just don't tell the children, they'll be jealous." Also aboard, were the Langdon's from Brattleboro, VT. When the Picayune asked Bruce Ismay about the disaster, he replied "The ship performed marvelously in the manner that she was able to stay afloat while all passengers were rescued." He also called the ship "practically unsinkable." President John Hawkes(D) also commented on the sinking, calling it "An act of carelessness at the hands of the 'yellow Italians'" The Italian King Vittorio Emmanuel III called this quote "an act of slander towards the people of Italy." White Star Line will fully compensate the passengers of the Republic for goods lost.

Lonesome Train by Ray Davies is not a good song for me to be listening to, right now. I'll try again, in two weeks.

People are so, so damn confusing. The only person who isn't is another with AS, and a relative.

I used to think it was a silly piece of figurative speech, but "an anthropologist on Mars" makes so much sense.

It did seem to help some but the side-effects are not worth it. Been feeling very weak, body's been kind of sore, & I've been very thirsty. I'd probably be better off having Electroshock Therapy. I doubt ECT can be much more dangerous/risky & f#ck me up much worse than meds. I could never get those f#cking quacks to let me try that instead. I'll deal with things on my own the best I can & if they get to bad; I'll use a stun-gun on my head; unless it kills me it will be better than the meds & psychs ever were

I have just started low dose Geodon which is being used as an alternative to Abilify. I don't know if they are similar in this

way but as far as Geodon goes, when they say take with meals they don't mean a cup of yogurt, they mean at least a

500 calorie meal. It has to with how it's released into your system. Before I was properly informed I was eating lightly

and feeling really spaced out. It was because it was being released too quickly into my system.

I was on Geodon for a bit because I was having problems with Abilify. It was switched back to Abilify because I had worse problems on Geodon. I cant remember the specifics thou because that was few years ago & I was on a lot of meds at different times & I've been true a few other anti-psychotics. I kept going back to 5mg of Abilify becuase a lot of the others made me sick.

The first time I ever heard "an anthropologist on Mars", I knew I'd found the perfect description of myself.

Ha Ha :lmao:

I read your comment and instantly saw massive amounts of alphabet soup spewing out of an over heated sause pan like a violent volcanic eruption, along with these huge clouds of soup steam rapidly bellowing skyward... yeah, it can spell disaster. :D

(Becomes visible and appears) Aww, I'm glad you thought it was funny!

A WHITE CHRISTMAS TO CAPE COD AND THE ISLANDS

December 24, 1898

Hyannis- Residents across southeastern Peter State and the Cape and Islands got an early Christmas Present from the storm king: A white Christmas. Jack Creedon, head meteorologist at the National Weather Bureau office in the Cape Cod district tells the Cape Cod Times "The storm was relatively under forecast for a lot of places, Southern Plymouth received the 'jackpot' of 9" of snow. Today however, will be bright and to-night, there'll be moonlight to reflect off of the snow." The storm was also an easy one for the coast guard: no rescues were needed by any vessel. Jack Thorpe, captain of the Steamer Eagle, commented "The trip across to Nantucket was easy as we left Oak Bluffs, and even more so as we entered Nantucket Harbor." For Christmas Day, expect much of the same conditions, but watch out when taking the kiddies out to go sledding tomorrow, it'll be cold. Boxing Day is expected to also be quiet at this time.
