I usually fear it but I am also curious to know what the future holds, surely there's got to be some good things!

I would make the teachers take the standardized tests to demonstrate competency.

Are you superstitious and what is something you do just to be sure?

No, I am not superstitious, I don't do anything to make sure.

And to answer the previous question (about public schools), I would decrease the level of bureaucracy needed to become a teacher, encourage more equitable ways of measuring student achievement, institute an increased emphasis on important and useful knowledge (e.g. learning about important historical events instead of trivial ones), and lastly I would turn the people who attend it into better people.

What is a futon to you?

Fun to play with and good to excite some electrons, but really until they come out with a decent ray gun I'm not too worked up about them.

Yes, if somebody were an immediate threat to my life or that of my wife's I would destroy them in an instant.

Do you think self defense is evil? Or warfare when one's enemies literally want to exterminate you?

Self defense is not wrong but, warfare on the other hand would require a great amount of thought..

I tend to see things in an abstracted sense, such as with warfare I see the strategy in general being played out rather than the particulars (which when dealing with lives is quite important too, although if the strategy fails it would mean more lives lost, etc). I don't know about seeing things completely in a philosophical sense though, but abstracted yes.

Do you dislike crowds?I'm not fond of such cause, I find the sensory stimulation somewhat problematic..

Do you feel that many things sought after in terms of the future will come to be in a good way that is?

I am in favor of the conquest of the universe.

What are you views on the creation of a self sustaining space industry?
