I think people tend to forget the the Internet is indeed "real life". Being anonymous is a shield that people are overconfident in, and by being so confident, they let out information that can be used to take away that anonymity while at the same time saying things that they would never say if they weren't (as far as they knew) anonymous.

Yep.

What you write on Facebook, for example, has similar consequences as if you said it directly and out aloud. I like the analogy of "internet banking". It's the same thing as going to the bank.

My mom's work computer thinks this is a phishing site. Oh, and I see Steve Carell from The Office on an advertisement. Oh, it is an ad for "The Office"...I wonder what it would be like if The Office was The Doctor's Office...*shudders at the thought*

Jennette is a better singer but she hasn't released a full CD yet(she's working on it hope it will be soon) I don't know a lot about her thou & if she's anything like the character she plays; she'll be kind of disgusting but I doubt she's really like that thou

I'm sorry Nick, I'm so use to being around men who are superficial. You sound so sweet talking about her like that. Besides being a wonderful and hardworking actress/singer/ideal roll model, I still say she's HOT. Have you ever though about being a DJ?

Glad you think that about me. I think lots of women are shallow but I also think lots of men can be as well. The media & lots of other things manipulate us.

I was a DJ for an online station years ago but I did it for fun; no one made any money off of it. Station ended up shutting down when advertising sponsors bailed because of controversy with the IRAA & copyrights; lots of online stations voluntarily shut down around then. I've thought about DJing professionally but I say things the wrong way sometimes I could probably end up in trouble for being politically incorrect, I also get nervous & it can affect my voice(I stutter/slur occasionally or say something very wrong), I don't like the idea of being confined to a specif play-list & all, & I have no training or experience with an actual radio station

I mean even more than Facebook though. Facebook has some degree of responsibility; your name is up there, though I guess you could make a totally fake one if you wanted. It doesn't totally deter people from posting things that shouldn't be (see: my aunt), but I think people are somewhat careful about it. I mean places like here, where the usernames are fake (unless you registered with your real name, I guess). I think people think that by not overtly flaunting their identity with every post, they're impossible to track, so they feel comfortable posting things that would get them in trouble if someone they knew saw it. And sometimes that might be true, if they don't really post much personal info. But it's not always true, and I think people forget that.

I like Internet banking. I've never heard it before.

I am not always the brightest bulb. I just replayed the same level four times, grumbling that it was absolutely impossible to accomplish on expert. During the fifth time, I realized the problem wasn't my computer performance (which is what I was originally thinking); the problem was that I was reading the objectives wrong and was doing almost exactly the opposite of what I was supposed to do.
