Which WP members would you wish to meet?
The things I notice about the people who seem to be popular in these sort of threads:
They tend to be young; usually in their teens or early 20s.
They post a lot in the random chat type threads, and seem to be comparatively skilled in light-hearted social banter.
They are usually quite willing to chat with anyone who joins in on their threads, although, quite reasonably, they do talk to their friends more.
So youth, social chitchat ability, prolific posting and friendliness seems to be the winning combination.

I might also seem to be boring to maybe a few select members, because I'm beyond my years. It's as though I should have been coming of age in the 1960s instead of the 1990s as a male, instead of a female in England instead of Canada. That's why I might seem boring to some members of my generation. Having said that, what I think of myself is all that matters. I don't think I'm boring at all. I think and feel that I'm interesting to most of the people on WP and in real life, because I am so different. Boring is a state of mind. You are what you think you are.

Wise words indeed.
CockneyRebel: I think I've said this before somewhere, but you are very unique as a member and memorable for that reason. For what it is worth, you are one of my favorite members
I would like to meet many of you from this site...and I think I would enjoy meeting cockneyrebel and just listen for what I could imagine would be a very long time about your special interest ![]()

You've got me thinking now. I tend not to say much about my interests and stuff, and I've just realised that it means I may come across as being bland and boring. I do small talk, and a bit of banter sometimes, but I'm pretty much anonymous really - and that may be something I can address.
By the way, I always like to read your posts, Mummy of Peanut, and find them interesting. I've never thought of you as homely or bland!
I quite like your username, when I first saw it I thought it was sweet, in a good way. You've raised some points that I sometimes wonder about.
Same.
Though anyone who says me could only be able to manage small amounts, I am very full on. =P

I think most of these criteria fit me. Maybe it's because I ramble on about Portal too much.

you're not a massively prolific poster in Random, where this thread is located.
