I wish people used language to speak about things they don't know, instead.

"Karen" and domestic violence are problems criticized by the people/society that create and enforce them. These problems share the same root cause, and this root cause is a taboo. You can't even openly discuss it. A topic being a taboo to discuss is an indication that it is a real and serious problem.
