I have only one friend and he is my cousin and I have no other friends to do anything with.
It is close to impossible to meet anybody new. I have tried everything.
What are your expectations when trying to find friends? What is your approach?
My expectation is a conversation. My approach is to look at somebody, and smile and hope to god they say something because nobody is smiling at me currently even when I smile at them. I don't know wtf is going on. Thanks for replying.
No need to thank me at all. I know what being without friends and trying to socialize in order establish friendships can be. I make mistakes the whole time. I thought that it is going to be different as soon as i have moved to another country, but nothing has changed. I am still talking about my interests, i am still awkward without any sense for small talk. The only thing that has changed is the language.
But we have to keep trying or it will never improve. Have you ever tried going to group meetings for people with the same hobbies? Are there certain activities you enjoy doing that could also be done with other individuals? What about an aspie-support group?
