True, but often I'm already shooting at a fairly low shutter speed handheld anyway.

Right TenPencePiece. Your camera is the Fujifilm FinePix S2800HD.

One thing I might recommend if you shoot in low-light: turn the flash off; reduce the EV (-2/3 at least sounds right, possibly more depending on how little light there is); turn on the OIS system; keep your camera still and make sure the white balance is right. Keep the ISO as low as you can without bringing in blur.

Oh, and low-light motion photos (basically almost any photos with people in them, especially in pubs and other dark indoor places)? Forget it with a camera like this one. You'll need a DSLR and fast lenses for things like that.

If you want more information on how to use your camera, try the DPReview forum.

Funny, found some of my very old comics while I was cleaning some mess at home:

and Little Lulu too

Funny, those comics were never in color. When I was a kid, I always thought they were colorless in the whole world  :

Pity, the company that was used to translate them gone bankrupt decades ago, it couldn't survive the declining comic sales.

No, I mentioned it as perhaps comic-book readers perhaps don't feel the need to have stuff translated into Arabic if they can speak English well enough.

Those are really cool Boo. I've never seen them in another language other than English.

^ Sometimes I think America is one giant Disneyland. Other times I think it is just a hallucination. Maybe it's both.

I can recommend the sigma 30mm f1.4 lens if you are shooting with a cropped form-factor, great lens for the money.
