Today was my first time driving any of my dad's cars and I couldn't believe he trusted me enough. He was with me the whole time in the passenger seat, but I wouldn't have been comfortable driving if he hadn't been right there. I'm so glad nothing happened to it. Dinner was fun too, I think we all had a great time and it was awesome for everybody to be getting along again like the old days

Now, I'm going to watch some TV.

spent so much time making corrections to this self in isolation only to realize there’s now even less in common with most anyone local.

trying to figure what would make the most sense to go back to school for to be able to leave this country, and work abroad. seem most interested in japan, thailand, and hong kong.

Now that I think about it, most of my drabbles/short stories/whatever, I wouldn't be comfortable with anyone reading them. 8O

Most of my characters (at least when I write them) are absolutely atrocious beings.

Do you mean that you've been trying to better yourself, succeeded, and now you have nothing in common with the people who haven't bettered themselves?

@Lilli: Now I want to read your stuff. I've done experiments in writing that are absolute nonsense.

Most of my writing is nonsense, with a tiny bit of wish fulfillment...

no... more commonly relatable interests, or common interests of merit to other peer aged americans’ intrigue, simply tanked for enjoyment over changes in perception. can’t enjoy such things unless they’re done companionably, and can’t focus on doing them while alone anymore. would rather not say what, as there’s no desire to potentially call out others’ interests as if they aren’t worthwhile.

points of most potential intrigue are in asian cultures, etiquette, philosophies, religions, histories, languages, music, art, cooking, folklore, literature, disciplines, architecture, lands, and martial arts. when one begins to read of very different lands, it clicks that there’s much more to the world than one’s homeland. that a gesture that’s kind and polite here, may very well be outlandishly rude elsewhere... reading into asia has helped make console to why having been born and raised largely in california has always felt like being a foreigner. have a therapist that once said something along the lines of, “there’s nothing wrong with you. you were born in the wrong country.”... such words helped accept traits/behaviors previously perceived as wrong.

The most productive thing i did today is staring at the wall for 3 hours due to my depression coming back. I was in a good mood for about 12 hours. Thank you...

mr robot

same here. sat down for hours. lied on the ground outside. played with phone.

and that was "As Good As it Gets."

could not summon the motivation or strength to do anything else.

could barely summon the energy to talk to anyone.

with the exception of one cashier at Whole Foods when i was buying Epicurean tofu, did not talk to anyone. and that was brief, functional, and et cetera.

sometimes i feel like i am too curt. but maybe that's better than "loose lips sink ships." loquacious.

but whatever there is nobody to talk to.

and talking seems like such wasted effort.

there's nobody i wanna particularly talk to.

and talking to the wrong person is much worse than failing to talk to the right person.

Lace-Bane, do you still practice martial arts?

I realize I didn't get the chance to comment on Wing Chun as you described it, quite a while ago in this thread. You mentioned that practitioners have been known to execute the moves blindfolded. Of course, I find that especially interesting because I'm blind. Simultaneously attacking and defending is obviously a great idea also. It seems like so much of martial arts is focused on form rather than practicality, as people have to learn all these techniques and movements to progress.

@Lace-Bane: I do the same with my writing, and don't worry; there's an audience in this world for almost everything if not everything. The internet is a wonderful thing; find a community about your interests you wrote about and post them there. :) I did that, about my writings (some wierd fanfic) about a computer game I was obsessed with years ago. People liked my stuff, then I moved on.

Luckily most of my serious stuff would have more of an audience, but maybe if your serious stuff doesn't you can still have an audience for it and actually stay with that audience and get to know them better as great friends. Then together you can use your interests to integrate yourselves and your writings if you want.

what does "niBBa" mean?/

is it a slang for n****r?

hello?? :D

it's an alternate spelling of "niqqa", which itself is a variant of "niPPa".

n***a/niPPa/niqqa/n****r, it doesn't matter.. i still don't understand why you said that word. i used to believe it is not a very nice word.

i guess that's not nice, especially since you are supposed to be a moderator!

is it because i always say i belong to africa and i live in africa already? hm?

^ A nibba is a demanding person.
Like, you're very domineering, or exacting.

(Not my opinion of you, just offering a definition as I understand it.)
