You should get something to eat because people care about you. If it's hard to do it for yourself, do it for those that care about you. I hope you feel better soon.

I told the friend I fell in love with we can't talk anymore. Now I feel like I've ripped a knife up my right arm whilst expecting no pain

I knew I had to but it still hurts so much

Whoof, I'm dysthymic as hell. It cycles off again, it always has, but it makes it very hard to enjoy much of anything, or to communicate effectively with anyone. Being Aspie, I was already at enough of a disadvantage there to begin with, arrgh.

Am beginning to suspect that I didn't actually shake that flu bug off, either. Thank God for elderberry syrup and ginger tea.

[Edit in: oh goody, this year's flu is H3N2. The much-ballyhooed vaccine is only about 10% effective against that strain. However, elderberry is quite effective against it, and will shorten the duration of the illness even if you take it after becoming symptomatic. Do be careful with elderberry if you have autoimmune conditions, though; it works, in part, by promoting cytokine release.]

I wonder if a mixture of elderberry and Echinacea would be a one-two punch against the flu?

I'm trying it, with a little goldenseal added for luck.

Shocking: I am getting a recurring headache, and the dose of elderberry syrup is 2 table-spoons (the ones you eat with) every 3 hours. I take it, and within 10 minutes the headache is gone. (And I feel almost human, too.)Image

Verrrrrry interesting

Tart, actually. I take the syrup neat, but the full dose can be stirred into a cup of hot water and works fine as a hot tea.

It doesn't have to be Sambucol, even though the first controlled study used that.
