Just upload them to ImageShack and there are special forum links once they have been uploaded.

Ok, a few photo's from last week in Leeds and North Yorkshire.

I know my camera work isn't the bestest Tequila, but I'm going to put these up anyway, in the hope that you will be charitable. :D

Day 1/2 - Leeds
For some reason I decided to take photo's of pub toilets during a mini pub crawl of Leeds. You won't be seeing those. :P

In the Fenton on Woodhouse Lane. This is Cheddar Valley Cider. When she poured it I couldn't believe the colour, it was bright orange. But tasted flat, and a bit cardboardy.

Image

We drank it though. Obviously.

While a lot of Leeds has been redeveloped in the last 10-20 years, I noticed that alongside the shiny new buildings, some of the old ones are now boarded up and neglected. The one in the background is Quarry House, a Goverment building for the DWP and Department of Health. It is quite dominating.

Image

This lion was really enjoying the early morning sunshine.

Image

The old Corn Exchange, now a shopping centre.

Day 1/2 Cont.

Leeds City Centre. Quite busy skyline.

The building with the domes is Leeds Market, where I used to do lots of my shopping when I was a stoodent.

Not my breakfast. In a caf in Leeds Market.

I'll post some of the countryside in North Yorkshire in a bit. :D

Ok, a few more of Leeds. The light wasn't so great for these, and they are a bit wonky. But I do love that city, despite its flaws.

I prefer my figits in large meself.

Inside the Corn Exchange. We were the first 'customers' of the day.

Bizarrely this building is actually still a bank, unlike most of them, which as we all know have turned into 'trendy wine bars'.
I quite like wine though.

Briggate at dusk.

These are of Skipton, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, near to where my Dad lives.

Gargrave, a bit further up into North Yorkshire, although it used to be in the West Riding, as you can see from this sign, which shows the beginning and end of the Pennine Way - a rambler's pathway.

Laz: Just a thought but your style of photography might not be suited to 16:9. (Some, but not all, of your compositions look cramped.)

I've never been to Ingleton though. And yes, it looks absolutely miserable weather. I always wondered what it was like at Ingleton Pottery! Nowhere for a quick drink then? :)

The photo of the rural terraced street reminds me of somewhere similar in the north Lancashire countryside, the name of which I can't quite remember now.

Don't non-sparkling ciders taste, well, flat?

That's the spirit. You should have come further down for a pint of the new Ribble Valley cider. You weren't far from there at all in Skippy.

I've heard that this is quite a lot the case with Leeds.

Wants to be careful it doesn't fall awf!

In fact, the Corn Exchange in Preston is now a pub/nightclub. Don't know why I mentioned that on a photo about Leeds mind. ;)
