I am from the northeastern part of Florida. I speak the Florida Cracker sub-dialect of the Southern American English (SAE) dialect. My family has been in that part of Florida for 6 generations, so I have not been influenced much by other regional dialects.

OHH MY GOD. A native floridian! Ive lived here for 5 or so years and had yet to see one.

There are more than a few, but we manage to blend in quite well.

I'm from Northeast Florida too! St. Augustine to be precise. Or rather, Ponte Vedra.

I am originally from St. Augustine, and most of my family is still there :D

coming from a canadian who has *no* idea about UK accents (but who really wants to play "Guess That Accent"), i'm gonna go with whatever county Colchester is in.

ohmydays you're right! 8O

I was going to say Essex but Hyperlexian beat me to it  I have to say I didn't put any where near as much work into it as she did so she does deserve to win. I've just heard so many Essex accents even from people not from Essex (a lot of people around here speak like that even though I live in Hampshire) that I can tell what accent it is.

You can kinda pick up the slight differences in South London, Kent and Surrey accents from East London and Essex. They have their own little sayings and oddities that stand out slightly. We have "mockneys" in Hertfordshire as we call them.

yeah, they are distinct but also similar to an outsider's ears. i had to klisten a Kentish person speaking twice before i could rule it out. i also thought i heard a touch of a London accent in her voice, but it's probably it's because i don't hear the accents all of the time that i can't distinguish very well.

wow, interesting that our accents sound so dissimilar, yet we use similar phrases. you sound alsmost californian to me, or at least distinctly west coast.

Sorta reminds me of the white queen from last years Alice In Wonderland. (This is a good thing- I love that character.)

I actually suffer from anxiety as well as AS. And OCD, (hence, my username).
