because it touches our emotions directly. it expresses deep feelings, where words leave off. it makes us FEEL. at its most transcendent it is like a drug. "Christo Redentor" left me in an altered state of consciousness.

that's a pretty daggone good authentic deal, most of our capitalists doing it the other way 'round, selling 10 cents worth of science for 3 bucks or lots more, apple being among the worst offenders.

I too can build little boxes of science with custom guts that do everything I say they will. I'm on vacation though.
