I can't control what other people say but I can control how I react.

TIL that not all tap washers are created equal.

I replaced most of our tap washers yesterday with soft-deformable ones.
I now have to learn to turn on taps 1/2 turn instead of the 1/4 turn that started water flowing with the hard washers.

On the plus side, there is a LOT finer control of shower temperature.

I've got to be one of the most patriotic members when it comes to my heritage.

When researching something else I learned that...in the Nineties there was a play called "Cannibal: the Musical".

About Alfred Packard...the famous frontier era Colorado prospector convicted of killing, and eating, all of his campanions, when they got lost in a mountain blizzard in the 1870s. The true story is still part of Breckinridge Colorado local color.

The macabre musical toured as far away as Europe, and got...okay reviews.

Also learned that the writer, director, producer, and frequent singer, of the play...later teamed up with another fellow Colorado person, to create "South Park", and the rest is history.

There was another patriotic member at one time. He was a British bloke. I miss him.

Not to call anyone an old chap ever again, because I sound really stupid when I say that. It's kind of like if someone from Texas was to try to speak Cockney Rhyming Slang.

This was about a week ago, but I learned that there were Garfield comics that were like psas about cyber safety, and they were really weird because Garfield and his girlfriend Arlene were acting like they were the parents of Nermal and all living together in a house without Jon or any other humans. Nermal even went to school. And Garfield acted unusually responsible, teaching Nermal things like why he shouldn't share his password or watch pirated movies.

Maybe the whole thing was taking place in a different universe where the pets are all people and Garfield and Arlene are either married or living together and have adopted Nermal as their son. But it was still really weird not seeing Garfield trying to mail Nermal to Abu Dhabi whenever Nermal annoyed him.

God doesn't want me to buy any piece of clothing that has to do with the UK. That's why the ATM keeps rejecting my winnings every time I try to deposit that money. I'm sure that someone with a more British mindset would get more enjoyment out of that Scotland T-shirt than Yours Truly.

^ Then I guess god didn't want me to make spaghetti sauce for supper today because when I started to open up the cans of tomato sauce and paste, my can opener, which I bought only a few months ago, suddenly decided not to work properly.

I still managed to get them open, though. Maybe the blade on the can opener has gone dull or something.

I'll make my own UK T-shirt. That way, I know it will fit.

I don't have to try to be like the more mature WP family members. All I have to do is be myself.
