This is catastrophic! Because it renders all sixty years of James Bond movies obsolete. All of the Bonds from Roger Moore and Sean Connery onward served in "her majesty's secret service".

A lot of things are going to be rendered obsolete and I think that's quite sad.

I wonder if she had to shovel it clear when it snowed.

I'll never forgive Charles for what he did to Diana.

I really like the sound of these interests that King Charles has, and I hope he continues with them. Probably because I'm interested in them too! But I think if he wants to win the support of young people, he'll promote these:

I'll make a list for the sake of convenience:

The Environment; Heritage and Architecture; Organic Farming; Alternative Medicine; Unemployed and Disadvantaged Young People.

What can we expect from the new Carolean age?

He has been an environmentalist since the 1970s, despite being mocked by all the media as a 'tree hugger' etc. Now he's been proved right. We DO need to take care of our planet and nature.

He used to write to MPs to tell them what to do, but he says he won't interfere in politics anymore. However, when he has a meeting with the Prime Minister and she starts talking about focusing on fossil fuels and not bothering to cut carbon emissions, I can't imagine the king will sit there and agree. Even if he just tuts and frowns, he'll make his disapproval clear. And possibly have long discussions about new bills the government wants to push through.

We will see!

He'll find a way, I'm sure.
Those interests and causes aren't something he'll just switch off - he's heavily involved and cares too much for that.

Shame he has the carbon footprint of a small country. He's always been hard to take seriously when it comes to his environmentalism.

Question: If we've just come to the end of the "Elizabethan era" what is the era called under Charles?

Carolean. Or pedantically, the Third Carolean Era.

Interesting. Do you know the word derivation for that? Elizabethan is pretty obvious, not so Carolean.

Does he though, compared to (say) government officials? (Liz Truss, I'm scowling at you)
